- Formal gowns only, including prom, homecoming, pageant, gala, or evening wear
- Modern styles typically produced within the past 3–5 years
- Clean, odor-free, and in good overall condition
- Free from significant damage such as stains, tears, missing embellishments, or broken zippers
- No major alterations that significantly change the original design or structure
Items that do not meet these standards may be declined.
Condition Evaluation
Each gown is professionally inspected and assigned a condition rating during evaluation.
Excellent Condition
- No visible wear
- No alterations
- No stains, snags, or missing embellishments
- Current style with strong customer demand
Typical Offer: 30–40% of estimated resale value
Good Condition
- Minor signs of wear
- Minor alterations that do not affect resale potential
- Style remains marketable and in demand
Typical Offer: 20–30% of estimated resale value
Fair Condition
- Noticeable wear that may require cleaning or minor repair
- Older or lower-demand styles
- Minor cosmetic flaws
Typical Offer: 10–20% of estimated resale value

Factors That Influence Purchase Offers
Several factors are considered when determining an offer amount:
Market Demand
Trending or highly requested styles may receive higher offers, while limited-demand styles may be declined.
Original Retail Value & Brand Quality
Designer and higher-quality gowns generally receive stronger offers.
Age of the Gown
Gowns older than five years may receive reduced offers or may not be accepted unless considered timeless or currently in demand.
Condition & Cleanliness
Items requiring extensive cleaning or repair may receive reduced offers or be declined.
Resale Potential
If a gown is unlikely to sell within the boutique’s seasonal sales cycle, it may not be purchased.
